An organisation of this size and complexity requires logistics that can keep up with the business – both operationally and strategically. Starting point: international scale and growing logistics complexity HENDI ships to multiple European countries, from various locations and to a wide range of recipients. As volumes and the number of markets increased, the company needed: centralised logistics management within a single system, fast scaling of international shipments, support for multiple locations and hundreds of payers, integration with a new WMS system, better control over costs and carrier performance. The previous integration solution was limiting growth, while onboarding new carriers or implementing process changes required significant effort and long lead times. Why Alsendo Innoship? Implementation: system integration and process alignment The implementation process included pre-implementation analysis, agreement on the scope of development, cooperation terms, and integration costs, all clearly defined in the contract. A key aspect of the project was HENDI’s simultaneous transition to the new Mantis WMS. The integration between HENDI ↔ Mantis ↔ Innoship was based on shared documentation and close collaboration between technical teams on both sides. As a result: shipment statuses remain consistent across WMS and Innoship, status updates are synchronised regularly (every hour), warehouse processes could be automated. “Given the scale of HENDI’s operations, it was crucial for us to implement a solution that would organise international logistics without disrupting day-to-day operations. Multi-market operations and local specifics The project addressed challenges related to country-specific codes (e.g. LV, LT) and differences in carrier processes across markets. International pallets Handling international pallets required extending Innoship functionalities, which were adapted to HENDI’s processes and integrated with the WMS. Management dashboard: logistics from a top-level view One of the key sources of business value proved to be the Innoship dashboard, used at both managerial and executive levels. With clearly visualised data, logistics insights became a real support for business decision-making.
